In a surprising collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official release, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Content

Players who finish the adventure will receive an special katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Content

This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature skills: Naoe debuts a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
